Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak, has finally given his seal of approval to Michael Fassbender, the actor who portrayed the late icon and his beloved friend, Steve Jobs, according to reports.
The computer pioneer and American inventor, who may be one of the few who definitely knew Steve Jobs better than anyone else, said that Fassbender's depiction of Steve Jobs is a highlight despite the fact the two are completely different in terms of looks and voice.
"I saw a rough cut and I felt like I was actually watching Steve Jobs and the others," the 65-year old Wozniak said in his statement. "Not actors playing them, I give full credit to Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin for getting it so right."
Fassbender plays the mercurial Macintosh genius in the movie, which reportedly made waves just last week during the Telluride Film Festival.
The 'Titanic' actress, Kate Winslet, who plays as Steve Job's confidant and assistant in the movie, also impressed Wozniak by her portrayal and said that he sees Winslet as 'the movie's best contender for the film industry's highest awards.'
Besides Wozniak, other critics were also impressed by Fassbender's 'enthralling' performance in the movie and being able to dub Steve Jobs as 'brilliant, infuriating and richly unconventional take on the life of an American visionary."
Reports say that Wozniak himself, is played by 'The Interview' actor, Seth Rogen, who has also made an outstanding performance in portraying his character in the movie alongside actors Michael Stuhlbarg and Jeff Daniels.
'The Social Network' screenplay writer, Aaron Sorkin wrote for the movie and Oscar-winning director for the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire', helmed the whole production.
The movie could be a possible candidate for an Oscar award said by Wozniak and movie critics agree. 'Steve Jobs' will be released in cinema theatres on October 9, Friday.
