Kendra Wilkinson Quits: Reality Star Walks Off ABC's Reality Show 'Splash' (VIDEO)

Former "Girl Next Door", Kendra Wilkinson, is off of ABC's reality show "Splash" because of her fear of heights, reports The Los Angeles Times.

If you haven't watched the reality show yet, or unsure what the show is about, here is a statement from ABC:

"Splash marks the first time 10 celebrities will train and compete in regulation platform and springboard diving at dizzying heights in front of a weekly poolside audience. Each week the celebrities will look fear in the face as they leap off the 10-meter high dive, pair off to complete synchronized stunts, and flip, twist and spin into the depths of the pool below."

The celebrities trained with diving legends such as Greg Louganis and are judged by former Olympic athletes and trainers.

However, it seems as though Hugh Hefner's former girlfriend couldn't quite overcome her fear when she refused to jump off a 23-foot high diving board. Rather than being eliminated, she decided to quit and walk off the show.

"I'm so sorry, everybody," Wilkinson said on the show after declining to dive. "It's bittersweet. One thing I don't do is quit. This is the first time in my life I've quit something. This will haunt me for the rest of my life."

She later acknowledged she made a mistake in signing up for the show in the first place on Twitter.

"Damn I got a lot of hate tonight but ill take it," she tweeted. "Big mistake signing up for the show. Sorry I let you all down."

Wilkinson later stated that her resignation from the show was planned a week in advance.

"I was supposed to quit with last weeks dive but I didn't and did it. Felt amazing and it was a huge accomplishment to me and my family," the former Playmate wrote.

This adds to the struggles the first-year show is currently facing. They are continually dipping in ratings, with their third episode hitting an all-time low against NBC's reality singing competition, "The Voice".

Also participating on the show is Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Louie Anderson, Drake Bell, Chuy Bravo, Rory Brushfield, Nicole Eggert, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Ndamukong Suh and Katherine Webb.
