Kelly Ripa, Morning Show Host: 'I Don’t Keep In Touch With Regis Philbin' (VIDEO)

ABC's "Live!" hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan were named on The Hollywood Reporter's 35 Most Powerful People In Hollywood list.

As part of being recognized for their television power, THR threw a party for the honorees.

When asked if she keeps in touch with her former mentor though, Ripa said, "I haven't seen him, no."

That comes as striking news as the two spent over 10 years together on the popular morning program. Ripa in fact replaced Philbin's old host, Kathie Lee Gifford, in early 2001.

The list of powerful celebrities also includes the likes of Bill O'Reilly, Robin Roberts, Jeff Zucker, Matt Lauer, Jimmy Fallon and Barbar Walters to name a few.

Ripa was also asked to compare her new co-host Michael Strahan, 41, and her former co-host Regis Philbin, 81.

"Well they're both incredible storytellers," Ripa said, "They are both fiercely competitive, and they're both incredible football players," she joked. Philbin is well-known as a die-hard Notre Dame fan.

After Philbin retired in 2011, a string of hosts, such as Josh Grobin and D.L. Hughley, took the seat next to Ripa until they finally decided on former New York Giant Michael Strahan.

Philbin previously commented on the new addition to his former show.

"He's got a good sense of humor," the Fighting Irish fanatic said of Strahan. "He's a good guy. I think they're doing great."

THR also asked Ripa, who's show is hosted in New York City, what she thinks about Anthony Weiner making a run for mayor.

The disgraced politician left office after a "sexting" scandal went public.

"Sure, why not," said Ripa. "...I love a political Cinderella story."

Her husband, Mark Consuelos, felt a bit differently about the situation though.

"Save everybody's time and money," he said.
