Allison Williams and Ricky Van Veen Tied the Knot in Wyoming

Girls star, Allison Williams and College Humor co-founder, Ricky Van Veen tied the knot on Saturday at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming.

The star-studded event was attended by William's Girls co-stars Lena DunhamJemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet. Katy Perry, John Mayer and Late Night's Seth Meyers were also spotted celebrating with the newlyweds. The 27-year-old actress wore an Oscar de la Renta couture gown and looked lovely as she walked down the aisle.

According to Page Six, the plans and the details of the Emmy weekend wedding was kept secret and that a source even told them that the guests were asked to fly to Denver, where they will be picked up and taken to the wedding location.  Even the accommodations for the guests are being paid for by the couple.

Meeting through mutual friends, the couple dated for more than three years before Van Veen popped in the question of marriage in February 2014. According to insider reports, the 34-year-old Van Veen did a great job in surprising Williams with his gimmicks for the proposal. As she told her good friend Meyers, "I was completely surprised. A total surprise, the best kind of surprise," she even added in the same interview that she is fond of her huge engagement ring, "I'm obsessed with it. I stare at it a lot."

Following the controversies of Williams' dad, former NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams that was suspended because of his exaggerated stories and his false statements regarding his coverage of the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq and Hurricane Katrina, it was reported that Allison had to postpone all their wedding plans in the past year to be in support of her dad.

Now that everything has been doing well and her daughter is married, Brian Williams is set to debut as a breaking news anchor, this time for MSNBC on September 22, where his first beat is to cover Pope Francis' visit to the U.S.
