Peter Dinklage Man Bun: Game of Thrones Star Reveals His 2015 Emmy Awards Hairstyle [PHOTOS]

Peter Dinklage just picked up a much deserved award for his role as the scheming but brilliant Tyrion Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones. GoT fans are pretty much aware that Dinkalge wears his hair long and shaggy.

But during the 2015 Emmys Awards, Peter Dinklage's man bun was the perfect way to pull up his character's signature unruly hair, and the style is totally on trend.

After all, the man bun is basically the male equivalent of the lob or the long bob at this point.

Dinklage's look makes total sense in the context of his Game of Thrones character. While it is not known that he's got the same agreement not to chop off his hair as Kit Harrington does, it's definitely grown out for the series. So, what better way to hold it back from his face than a messy bun?

While not everyone is sold on the man bun, it appears as if most ladies are loving the trend, and many men are aiming to grow out their traditional short locks in favor of a flowing lions mane that they can casually throw into a messy bun like a pro, and Peter Dinklage has officially crossed over and joined the man bun crew.

He must have rocked this brand new hairstyle because it was a huge night for Game Of Thrones, so he wanted to make sure he looked his best when he was on stage. He also won the highly coveted award for Best Supporting Actor.

Despite being nominated five times for his role in Game of Thrones, and having won it once before, the actor seemed genuinely surprised when his name was announced during the ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown LA.

Dinklage's success helped the HBO fantasy drama break the record for most Emmy wins in one year.

The series took home four trophies on the night including for writing and direction as well as the coveted Outstanding Drama, which coupled with the eight won at the previously held Creative Arts Emmys, shattered the record of nine held by The West Wing.
