Fourteen years ago, audiences all over the world fell in love with American actress Renée Zellweger when she played a hilariously foul-mouthed British woman in her 30s in a desperate quest to find love - now, as she's set to reprise the role a third time, the first Bridget Jones 2015 photo is released!
The third part of the adaptations of Helen Fielding's story won't be released for another year, on October 2016, but the film's already in production and Zellweger, Colin Firth and new cast addition Patrick Dempsey are already shooting scenes for Bridget Jones 2015 - and we just go the very first snap.
According to Vanity Fair, production company Working Tittle, the people behind the three-part story, recently released the first Bridget Jones 2015 pic on its official Twitter, showing Zellweger's most famous character keeping in tune with the times and hugging an iPad - as now her famous diary is in fact digital.
As Hollywood Life reports, the Bridget Jones 2015 marks Zellweger's grand return to the role 11 years after the last installment, "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason," came out, and a full 14 years since the character first made it to the screen in 2001, earning Zellweger her very first Oscar nomination - she would go on to receive two more back-to-back nods and ultimately win on the third time, for the period drama "Cold Mountain" co-starring Nicole Kidman.
According to The Mirror, the latest Bridget Jones 2015 news comes just months after Zellweger was involved in a big scandal, as the actress, who has been fairly secluded from the film industry in the past few years (her last screen credit was on 2010, on "My Own Love Song"), appeared at the past edition of Elle Magazine's annual Women in Hollywood event, where she appeared completely unrecognizable from her former self, prompting speculation about having gotten massive plastic surgery.
