Katt Williams Charity: Comedian Gives Wheelchair-Bound Women in Need of A Kidney $1,000

Comedian Katt Williams has both a funny and charitable side. 

According to The Epoch Times, after a performance in Boston, Sunday night, Williams gave a wheelchair-bound woman in attendance $1,000 after learning she needs a kidney transplant. 

TMZ obtained a photo of the fan holding up the money and a note given to her by Williams. 

A member of his security team noticed a woman crying in the audience. The woman explained that her tears were "tears of joy" because it was the first time she'd laughed since being told by doctors that she needed a new kidney.

The security team brought the woman backstage and she told Williams her story. According to reports, Williams than briefly left the room, only to return with a stack of bills wrapped up in a piece of paper that read, "God never leaves."

The unidentified women called the comedian's good deed an "awesome surprise."

Williams has had his fair share of trouble over the past year, according to E! News. "The Scary Movie 5" star pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of evading police and was sentenced to 180 days in jail; 90 of those days were converted to 420 hours of community service, 

The 39-year-old comedian was charged with felony police evasion and reckless driving for leading California Highway Patrol officers on a low-speed chase from his three-wheel motorcycle on Nov. 25.

Williams is currently on his 2013 comedy tour.
