Jennifer Lopez To Perform and to Host at American Music Awards for the First Time

Jennifer Lopez, 46, will be the host of the 2015 American Music Awards and will perform as well.. The show will be broadcasted live from L.A.'s Microsoft Theater on ABC.

The "On the Floor' singer expresses her emotion towards her achievement in Twitter.

"From my first @TheAMAs nomination 15 years ago to HOSTING the 2015 #AMAs! It's going down 11/22 on ABC!! #AMAsJLo," she tweeted.

On November 22 she will take the control of an awards show for the first time.

The Pop diva will also give her performance in support of her approaching Las Vegas show 'All I Have', which will be set in motion in January at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

In the meantime, the singer also matched up her preparations for live shows to "training like a fighter" her reason behind is that she knows that she needs to be in very good physical condition to mix up her singing with strong choreography.

J. Lo even told DigitalSpy: "For me it was building up the stamina to do it. I knew I could. It's just one of those things: you really have to train. You have to see where you're going to do everything and how you're going to do it. OK, I'm not going to sing on this chorus because the choreography is too demanding - it's different things like that.

"You have to plan and plot it out so the audience gets the best experience. You train like a fighter for a fight; you build yourself up to be able to physically handle it."

"JLo is one of the most influential artists in music history, and the triple-threat will take on the role as host of a live broadcast award show," noted by ABC and Dick Clark Productions.

Singers Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth will announce the Award nominees on Good Morning America on October 13, 2015. Nominees are chosen according to album sales, radio airplay, touring and social media.
