'Lucky 7' Cancelled After Having Worst Ratings of the Fall Season

Luck has run out for "Lucky 7".

Deadline reported the ABC series has been canceled after two episodes, marking the first cancellation of the 2013-2014 TV season.

TheWrap noted Wednesday that the lottery drama had the lowest average ratings of any new show in the fall, and the lowest of any Big 4 show overall. This week it brought in a measly 0.7 viewers (208 million) in the 18-49 demographic, which is considered down from its debut and the worst for a drama in ABC history.

"Even the most nervous gambler would have to bet on 'Lucky 7' to be the first show to be canceled in 2013-14," TheWrap reported.

"Lucky 7" shared Wednesday night with "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which is considered an early hit for ABC. On Tuesday, "S.H.I.E.L.D." at 8 p.m. had a 3.1/10, down 34 percent from its splashy debut and 8.4 million total viewers.

At 9 p.m. is "The Goldbergs" who had a 2.2/6, down 29 percent in the demo and 6.2 million viewers. "Trophy Wife" at 9:30 had a 1.4/4 which is down 39 percent and 4.3 million viewers.

The freshman drama, which centered on a group of gas station employees in Queens who won the lottery, performed poorly in its Tuesday timeslot.

Created by Jason Richman and David Zabel. "Lucky 7" starred Summer Bishil, Lorraine Bruce, Christine Evangelista and more. The "Lucky 7″ timeslot will be replaced by repeats of "Scandal".
