Martha Stewart on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Lifestyle and Cookbook, 'I Hope She's Authentic' (VIDEO)

Martha Stewart has a few comments on Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle skills and business ambitions.

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Stewart was asked what she thought of the actress turned food-book author.

"I haven't eaten at Gwyneth's house, and I've never seen how she lives," Stewart said. "But if she is authentic, all the better. I mean, I certainly hope she is. She really wants to be part of the lifestyle business."

Paltrow released her cookbook "It's All Good," earlier this year. The New York Times has repeatedly accused the actress of collaborating with a ghostwriter on her cookbooks, but the actress has denied the allegations.

"Gwyneth, for example, has a book on the best-seller list. She must be doing something right," Stewart said. "She's a charming, pretty person who has a feeling for lifestyle. She wants to be a lifestyle arbiter. Fine. Good. I think I started this whole category of lifestyle."

In August, the actress upset authors at the East Hampton Library's 9th Annual Author's Night, while promoting her book. Other authors in attendance accused the actress of hijacking the event.  Author Christina Oxenberg, who was there signing copies of her book "Life Is Short," was upset by Paltrow's appearance and blogged about being table neighbors with the A-list actress, on her website

Stewart, whose massive do-it-yourself empire touches on everything from cooking and gardening to crafting and entertaining, praised Paltrow for her work, but stopped short of endorsing her lifestyle brand.
