The '90s has been a decade where a lot of great TV series were made that most of them are being revived in this time of the year. One of them is "The X-Files" and this series featured stories about aliens and other mysteries concerning other extra-terrestrial phenomena. The show ran for 9 seasons via Fox and a couple of films were also released under its name. And after 15 years, The X-Files is about to say hello once again to people's TV screens however, its creator Chris Carter said that he didn't even want it to happen.
Carter was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter regarding the said reboot and he explained, "I jumped at the idea when I found out the actors were interested. I can tell you the idea of a reboot wasn't the way I wanted to go. I didn't want to come back to do a victory lap, to do sequels or anything like that. I wanted fresh, new material and that's what we've done."
In an article published by The Inquisitr, they indicated that the two actors, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, who are starring the series already started filming for six episodes because they both have really hectic schedules. The first episode shall be called, "My Struggle" and was showed to fans during the New York Comic a couple of weeks ago. Carter wasn't even thrilled that the first episode was already leaked, but then understood how marketing at this time and age now goes so he finally became okay with it.
Probably one of the reasons why Carter didn't like the idea of the reboot was because almost all of the people he wanted to work with are no longer available from handling the effects to actors like James Pickens Jr. Nevertheless, the reboot is happening early January of 2016.
