She was seen wearing a white bandeau and a blazer, sporting a brushed up hair, well groomed eyebrows matching her sleek cat, smokey eye, nude lips and of course, major contouring - a signature look donned and made famous by Kim Kardashian. The post is well received by her fans and followers all over the world, having 456k likes and 4,800 comments.
The 22-year-old popstar has been through a lot fighting bullying, drugs, and bulimia. But thanks to Kim Kardashian, the former Disney star admitted that she's moving on with all the issues she's faced with and has since then learned how to embrace her fuller shape.
According to Elle, Kim is Demi's friend and was a role model for the singer's life. "I really learned to accept my body when the trend started to become less about the super skinny models that was completely unattainable for anybody to have," she said in an interview. "Kim Kardashian, say what you want about her, but she has revolutionized what's accepted with curves nowadays."
"For so long, it was the heroin-chic '90s supermodel thing, and I feel like when the Kardashians came into the picture, people started to look at it because it was different. They were like, 'You know what? That's actually really beautiful.'"
She also credited Beyonce and Nicki Minaj as she goes through the process of accepting the body that she was born with.
"From then, I noticed that Beyoncé was thicker, and Nicki Minaj is thicker. When I say thick-like when I call my thighs thick-I love it. I think it's a good thing. Watching them really helped me learn to accept my body image, too. I'm not naturally super thin. I have an athletic body. I just have to embrace that. There are days when it's hard to, but more and more, there are days where I'm actually proud of my body."
