Charlize Theron and Sean Penn are reportedly more than just friends.
According to People Magazine, the Oscar winners have been spotted spending time together at Penn's beachfront home in Oahu, during New Years. The twosome were photographed relaxing on the beach with another pal.
People reported that Penn spent his time surfing while the actress spent time on the beach, wearing a multicolored striped bikini. The "Snow White" star was reportedly without her two-year-old son, Jackson.
Theron and Penn were later spotted heading back to L.A. together on New Year's Day. E! News also reported that the two were spotted leaving Theron's Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday. The actress rode of in her Lexus and Penn reportedly followed in his truck.
"Charlize and Sean have been friends for years," a source told the magazine. "They have been spotted out together several times in the past few years. Even when Charlize was dating Stuart [Townsend]. They both had dinner with Sean several times."
Penn and Theron first sparked romance rumors back in 2010 after the actress reportedly split from boyfriend Stuart Townsend. The two were photographed having dinner together. Months later Penn announced that he and Robin Wright were divorcing.
According to People, the two were spotted flirting with one another at Seth MacFarlane's Halloween party last October.
"They were laughing and touchy-feely," says a source told the magazine.
