Liam Neeson and Stephen Colbert in a Candy Crush Dramatic Movie

The maker of the famous Candy Crush game, King Digital Entertainment,  might have not imagined that this mobile hit can be adapted as a dramatic "movie."

The announcement that Activision Blizzard bought King Digital Entertainment for $5.9 Billion happened in the opening segment of Late Show with Stephen Colbert  last night's episode.

Activision Blizzard spent more than what Disney had in producing Star Wars making sure that they have the rights in making Candy Crush games later in their acquired studio. Never did the King Digital Entertainment realized that their trendy game would be a dramatic "movie". With Liam Neeson playing the part as Mr. Toffee, Colbert showed up also in the short film playing a role of Mr. Toffee's son.

Even though the four minute sketch is supposed to be a joke, the proposal of it branches from the announcements made on Friday Activision Blizzard. A couple of wisecracks were thrown about the in-game users pay for and the time people spend playing the game. Neeson and Colbert fire numerous combo strategies at each other while Neeson lies dying on the ground, candy cane sticking out of his chest.

The new division would be committed to the adaptation of some of the company's more well-liked series, like Call of Duty, for the big screen adaptation. As the company revealed during BlizzCon, its annual convention, that it would be opening its own film and television studio.

"To stay true to the original Call of Duty, while you watch that movie there will be a 12-year-old sitting next to you telling you how much you suck," Colbert joked.

There's no timeline on when adaptations will commence to come into view on television and movie screens,  other than Blizzard's admired flight of the imagination series, World of Warcraft, has already secured a film adaptation by Legendary Pictures as being in charged and is currently in its post-production stage.

Warcraft scheduled released will be on June 10, 2016. Watch the trailer for the movie here.
