Kanye West's Donda Joins Forces With Jay Z's Roc Nation (VIDEO)

Kanye West's design and content business, Donda, is joining forces with Jay Z's Roc Nation.

The Associated Press reported that the collaboration, which was announced on Monday, will focus on West's recording brand and worldwide touring ventures. Izvor Zivkovic will continue to manage West as well.

According to the Los Angeles Times, West started off producing albums for Jay Z, eventually leading to the two collaborating on multiple albums and songs. The Grammy winner launched the company, named after his mother, Donda West, in January 2012.

"I have started a new company and I'm so excited about the name...it's got the best name ever of all companies of all time!! The name of the company is DONDA," West wrote on his social media page at the time. "DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce [their] dreams and ideas."

He added, "DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford...To dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need.. To marry our wants and needs."

The rapper designed packaging and other elements for his and Jay-Z's "Watch the Throne" tour. Donda also designed two capsule collections for A.P.C. and two versions of West's Nike Air Yeezy sneakers. West's company is also working on an Adidas line, which will hit stores in the fall.

Jay Z's Roc Nation, founded in 2008 by Jay Z, has developed into a multi-tier entertainment company, managing artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers. Besides the music industry, Jay-Z's company is also involved in the television and film division.

It is also a sports agency, signing athletes like Robinson Cano, Kevin Durant, and Victor Cruz.

Roc Nation's recording division manages Rihanna, Shakira, Timbaland, J. Cole, Santigold, Melanie Fiona, Wale, and Rita Ora.
