Seafoods have health benefits too.

Seafood may contain cholesterol but not saturated fats. Saturated fats are the ones that a person should avoid because it increases the bad cholesterol that are present in the body. Seafood doesn't actually have a large impact on the cholesterol levels of a person.

The following are certain types of seafood that people usually love but avoids them because they are believed to be unhealthy. Liittle do they know that these seafood are packed with minerals and vitamins that a person just needs to keep a healthy body:

Smoked Salmon - It is rich in Omega three. Marine omega three can protect the eyesight of those who are suffering under macular-degeneration especially the elderlies.

Crab - It is rich in Omega three and protein. The omega three present in it has anti-inflammatory properties. People who suffer arthritis are recommended to add crab in their diets, though it should be eaten moderately.

Squid - High amount of protein is present in it, together with omega three, copper, zinc and B vitamins and iodine. Copper helps in enhancing the storage and growth of red blood cells. B2 helps alleviate migraines and phosphorus helps strengthen bones and teeth.

Oysters - The amino acid tyrosine and zinc that is highly present in oysters helps improve mood and balances stress levels, while zinc can help support the function of reproductive and sexual organs. A person regularly needs a percentage of zinc in his body and eating a half a dozen of oysters can provide the zinc percentage that a person needs.

Lobsters - Lobsters contain vitamin E that protects cells from being damaged.

Scallops - The omega three present in scallops lessens the risk of a person experiencing heart attacks and strokes or any other negative health conditions that associates with the heart.
