Leah Remini Will Star in Her Own Reality-TV Show for TLC (VIDEO)

Leah Remini is getting real.

The former sitcom star, who played Kevin James' wife for nine seasons on "The King of Queens," is returning to television in a new reality series. According to The Hollywood Reporter the actress is set to star in her own reality-TV show for TLC.

"Leah is a no-nonsense, hard-working, relatable mom, wife, daughter, and sister. Her sharp humor and unfiltered family are a perfect match for the network," Nancy Daniels, general manager of the cable network, said in a statement. "This series continues our focus on creating compelling series about remarkable families, using heart and humor to anchor it to the TLC brand."

TLC has ordered 12 half-hour episodes of an untitled reality show. The series is expected to debut this summer.

Joining Remini in the series will be her husband of 10 years, Angelo Pagán, and her 9-year-old daughter, Sofia. Leah's opinionated mother, step-father, sister, brother-in-law, Sofia's British nanny, Leah's housekeeper and her personal assistant, who is also an aspiring actor, will also join in on the fun.

Remini is known for stints on "Dancing With the Stars" and "The Talk." Most recently, the actress has had a recurring role on TV Land's "The Exes." She also let VH1 document her 2003 wedding and the 2004 birth of her daughter.

Remini made headlines after she opened up about her exit from church of Scientology, stating that she left the religion for her daughter, Sofia.

"In my house, it's family first--but I was spending most of my time at the church," Remini explained. "So, I was saying 'family first,' but I wasn't showing that. I didn't like the message that sent my daughter."
