Ireland: Land of Milk Chocolate

Did you know that Dublin, Ireland makes one of the best milk chocolates? Only a few people have known this fact.

Most people choose between two kinds of chocolates - dark or milk chocolate. Dark chocolate is popular because of the health benefits a person can get from it. It has a high percentage of cacaos. This kind of chocolate stormed specialty stores and even groceries, not only in the US but all over the world. On the other hand, people are not really into milk chocolate. Milk chocolates are unreasonably creamy.

Dublin is a place to look and to try variety of milk. It is considered one of its prides. John McKenna, a co-founder of the Irish Food Guide said, "For the Irish, chocolate will always be milk chocolate, and we would really only think to eat it from local names." Irish Food Guide is a book and a website about the country's cookery.

According to NYTimes, a 2011 marketing study showed that Irish prefer the taste of chocolate made by local companies because the milk used has the best quality. Ireland has roughly 1.1 million dairy cows and 95% of it feed on really green grass that grows wealthily. This is fairly because of the pleasant climate the country has. Thus, making their milk more cream-colored.

One of the famous chocolate shops in the country is Butlers. Marion Butler was the founder of the company in 1932 as Chez Nous. In the late 1950s, the Sorensen family took over and renamed it in 1984.

Aisling Walsh, Butlers' marketing director, said that the milk is the best part in the chocolate base. Dairy is an essential ingredient in making chocolate.  

In Dublin, there are a lot of chocolate cafes everywhere. Chocolates are even sold everywhere even in vending machines. So if people hear the country Ireland, the thougth of milk chocolate is already dancing in their minds.
