Surprise! Model and former professional wrestler Stacy Keibler has married tech entrepreneur Jared Pobre.
People magazine reported that the couple tied the knot in an intimate sunset ceremony on a beach in Mexico on Saturday. The nuptials were a surprise for the small group of friends and family members on vacation with the couple, but the couple had been planning it for several months.
"My happiness is indescribable!" the 34-year-old actress told People magazine. "Marriage is the ultimate bond of love and friendship. It means putting all your faith and trust into a person that you can't help but believe is your soul mate. Someone who has all of your best interests at heart; someone handpicked for you, to help you grow and be the best person that you can be. Jared is all of this for me."
Keibler started dating Pobre, the CEO of Future Ads, last fall. This is the first marriage for both Keibler and Pobre, who had been friends for more than five years.
"We both felt strongly that our 'love day' should be intimately special, and that's exactly what it was," the couple told People magazine about how they decided to have the wedding on the beach. "It was a blend of romance, tranquility, natural beauty, bonding and overwhelming love."
Keibler's marriage comes less than a year after breaking up with 52-year-old actor George Clooney. The couple had dated for two years before they called it quits. At the time, Keibler said she was still on the fence with whether she ever wanted to marry.
"I'm I think a little bit different than most women out there," Keibler told E! News. "I don't really think about that right now."
