‘Better Call Saul’ Season 2: When Is ‘Breaking Bad’ Saul Goodman Prequel Returning To TV?

In the early days of 2015, the world got a glimpse back into the Albuquerque of Bryan Cranston's "Breaking Bad," with the first season of its prequel show starring Bob Odenkirk about how Jimmy McGill eventually turned into Saul Goodman from the show - and now, finally, the "Better Call Saul" season 2 approaches!

The first season of the show aired from February 8 until April 6, and now AMC has announced that the "Better Call Saul" season 2 will follow a similar schedule, as the first episode is set for a February 15 premiere date, almost a year to the day the series was first launched.

According to Variety, the first episode of the "Better Call Saul" season 2 will be facing some tough competition ratings-wise, as the show will be airing at the same time as the Grammy Awards on CBS, as oddly enough the transmission won't be happening on a Sunday as it usually does - and it's actually the second year in a row the show will face the music awards show on its premiere.

Still, this year's first step holds the spot as the second highest-rated first season of any television show, so expectations for the "Better Call Saul" season 2 are pretty high.

As IGN reports, the "Better Call Saul" season 2 will see the show continuing on its Monday night time (which it picked up after the premiere in the first one), at 10 pm.

As for what's happening with Jimmy and Mike (Jonathan Banks), showrunner Peter Gould had this to say in a statement, via Entertainment Weekly:

"Jimmy McGill's journey takes surprising, left-handed turns in season 2 of Better Call Saul. He goes to places we'd never, ever expected. As for Mike Ehrmantraut [Jonathan Banks], he's pulled deeper into a world he was sure he'd left forever. We can't wait to share the next chapter of Better Call Saul with the fans who have embraced the show."

Finally, the "Better Call Saul" season 2 is almost here!
