'Arrow' Update: It May Finally Be Time For Stephen Amell To Wear Oliver Queen's Iconic Green Arrow Goatee

It seems like Oliver Queen fans have been waiting for Stephen Amell to wear the iconic Green Arrow goatee since the premiere of the CW series 'Arrow,' and no matter how strongly the actor opposes to growing his facial hair, the pleas for the beard keep coming.

In July, Stephen Amell addressed the requests by saying it's not going to happen. "100% no. Never. Our show could go 14 seasons and a goatee will never appear. Hope that clears things up. Forever," he tweeted, before reconsidering his decision on Twitter.

Posting a picture of the animated Green Arrow, Stephen Amell tweeted, "If we're lucky enough to go 6 seasons I'll show up the first day looking like this guy."

It looks like fans won't have to wait too long to see the Green Arrow goatee. Stephen Amell has once again taken to Twitter with a very cryptic three-part post.

"1. Went on a tongue in cheek tirade earlier this year about Green Arrow iconography / how it fit into our show," Amell tweeted, before adding that it didn't take long to get the desired effect.

"2. Proud to say it only took 3-ish months to make myself look like a total idiot," he tweeted before concluding with a reference to his post back in July.

"3. The point being... You want to avoid the term 'that will NEVER happen' under any and all circumstances," Amell posted.

But will Oliver Queen's beard actually make an appearance in the fourth season of 'Arrow?' Speculations are pointing to the possibility of Stephen Amell being a guest star on 'Legends of Tomorrow,' and he will probably be playing a bearded Oliver Queen who came from the future.

'Arrow' airs on the CW every Wednesday nights while 'Legends of Tomorrow' is expected to premiere in January 2016.
