'Star Wars Battlefront' Pays Tribute To That Head-Bumping Stormtrooper In 'A New Hope' [VIDEO]

The Stormtroopers are the unspoken heroes of the 'Star Wars' franchise, tirelessly protecting the Empire from those pesky Rebels and putting their own lives on the line for Darth Vader. Although there have been many jokes about the Stormtroopers not being able to shoot straight, the Galactic Empire's elite soldiers have carved their own niche in pop culture and are one of the most popular cosplay regulars during fan conventions.

The popularity and love for Stormtroopers is not lost to DICE, the makers of the video game 'Star Wars Battlefront.' Eurogamer has actually spotted the hilarious Easter Egg that is a subtle homage to one particular soldier who was seen in 'A New Hope.'

The video reveals the Easter Egg hidden in the background of the opening scene for the Overpower Training Mission in Sullust, where a Stormtrooper hits his head on the door.

In 'Episode I: A New Hope' (or just plain 'Star Wars'), there is a previously-unnoticed blooper of a Stormtrooper hitting his head on the door as his squad enters a security control center where R2-D2 and C-3PO are discovered. Of course, after the error was pointed out, there was no way that any 'Star Wars' fan would ever miss it. This may have been one of the rare times that one would be lucky to be too short to be a Stormtrooper.

This isn't the first time that anyone has paid homage to the head-bumping Stormtrooper in the 'Star Wars' franchise. George Lucas made sure to pay tribute to the soldier in 'Episode II: Attack of the Clones,' where Jango Fett bumps his own head on the low door of 'Slave I.'

Eurogamer has also pointed out another Easter Egg in 'Star Wars Battlefront,' where actual footage the Tusken Raiders from the films can be seen in Tatooine.

'Battle of Jakku,' the first DLC for 'Star Wars Battlefront,' will be launched on December 8.
