Ellie Goulding Reunites With Niall Horan of One Direction After They 'Went on a Few Dates' Last Year

On Tuesday, Ellie Goulding (English singer and multi-instrumentalist whose career started when she met record producer Starsmith and Frankmusik) and the member of the London-based English-Irish pop boy band One Direction - Niall Horan, who were briefly the critics' item in 2014, reunited at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Ellie Goulding and Niall Horan performed at 106.1 KISS FM's Jingle Ball 2015, which was presented by the American bank holding company - Capital One. Then the 28 year old Ellie Goulding and the 22 year old Niall Horan were all smiles while they embraced each other and posed for a photo shoot backstage.

Other than Ellie Goulding and One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer (Australian pop punk band), the American pop rock band - DNCE, Calvin Harris (Scottish DJ, record producer and recording artist), the Swedish singer and songwriter - Tove Lo, Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes with singer Camila Cabello, Charlie Puth and the Russian-German musician Zedd, also took the stage at 106.1 KISS FM's Jingle Ball 2015.

However, Ellie Goulding and One Direction's Niall Horan's reunion come in the middle of unconfirmed reports that Ellie Goulding and boyfriend Dougie Poynter (English singer, musician and the bassist of pop rock band McFly) are "taking a break."

Reportedly, Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter of McFly's band "hit a rough patch" for the reason that "the couple's work commitments have meant, Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter have been spending more time away from each other and it has made the situation difficult for them to maintain their relationship." But, both Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter haven't commented on the claims that they are "taking a break."

In addition, in June of 2015, Ellie Goulding claimed that, "I did go on a few dates with One Direction's Niall Horan, but I was never in a relationship with Ed Sheeran, it was way beyond my knowledge where that came from and why that rumor was turned into such a big deal."
