WATCH: New 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Teaser Trailer Out! Traumatic Events From the Past, What Do They Mean? Bran Set to Play Major Role? [Spoilers & Rumors]

A new "Game of Thrones" Season 6 teaser is out, and it is cryptic in every way. Showing a video montage of past tragedies, most especially the deaths of beloved characters and the reappearance of Bran Stark, fans are going crazy theorizing what will happen once the award-winning show returns.

WARNING: POTENTIAL "GAME OF THRONES" SEASON 6 SPOILERS AHEAD!

The "Game of Thrones" Season 5 finale on June 14 saw the shocking and brutal death of fan-favorite Jon Snow, who was killed as members of the Night's Watch stabbed and betrayed him.

With the new "Game of Thrones" Season 6 teaser comes fresh rumors and the unearthing of old speculations of how Jon Snow will return.

The teaser shows Snow standing regally at first, before a quick flash of his bleeding corpse appears.

Meanwhile, the Three Eyed Raven (Isaac Hempstead Wright) can be heard via voiceover saying, "The past is already written. The ink is dry."

Flashbacks from past tragedies then appear, including the deaths of Ned (Sean Bean), Catelyn (Michelle Fairley) and Robb Stark (Richard Madden), and then Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) going blind.

The "Game of Thrones" Season 6 teaser also showed a glimpse of Cersei (Lena Headey) at her most vulnerable, when she had to do the horrifying Walk of Shame.

Other tragedies and deaths are shown, and the clip ends with Snow in a pool of his own blood.

Bran then says, "They have no idea what's going to happen."

Because of Bran's return in the "Game of Thrones" Season 6 teaser trailer, it begs the question of whether Bran could play a pivotal role in the series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, in George R.R. Martin's fifth book, "A Dance With Dragons," Bran, who is a warg (has the ability to enter animals' minds and other people in special cases), will reportedly learn "skinchanging" and "greenseeing" abilities. This means he will develop the ability to control and inhabit other living beings' bodies. Training him is the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow), a tree-bound mystic.

With a strong emphasis of the past in the new "Game of Thrones" Season 6 teaser, it could reportedly mean Jon Snow's true lineage will appear in season six, and it could be "through Bran's time-tripping narrative."

Bran's return could also mean Jon's half-brother will use his new warging abilities to bring Jon Snow back to life.

According to The Daily Mail, one theory suggests that Jon's Direwolf, Ghost, will be used in order for Jon to survive.

In addition, Kit Harrington, who plays Snow, said at an Oxford Union talk in March:

"I'd like to be a warg. I'd like to put myself into a wolf,' Kit said, with Weiss commenting: 'Two words for you: Season 6," he said, as reported by The Daily Dot.

The 28-year-old actor had also been spotted at the Belfast set in his Stark clothes. Nearby was a woman looking like Carice van Houten (Red Witch Melisandre), prompting rumors that the theory of her bringing Snow back to life could be true.

Right now, nothing remains certain of the future of "Game of Thrones," especially as GRRM hasn't finished writing "Winds of Winter" yet.

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 is set to return in April.
