NeNe Leakes Joan Rivers: Will The Real Housewives Star Replace The Late Comedienne In Fashion Police?

As the world still mourns for the fast-witted comedienne, E! Entertainment Television's looks for a new head for their show The Fashion Police - and apparently NeNe Leakes' Joan Rivers will be the one to take on the new job.

A new report by Radar Online has reality TV star NeNe Leakes with Joan Rivers' old job trashing celebrity outfits after red carpet events and just about any other moment. According to the website, Leakes would be the first choice to replace the beloved (and often hated) comedienne, although NeNe Leakes' Joan Rivers replacement is not the only option the network is handling at the moment: there's also Rivers' friend, fellow comedienne Kathy Griffith.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has been known for her outrageous personality and also her fashion sense - she even released a collection of clothing that sold out entirely in just one day. NeNe Leaks Joan Rivers replacement would mean a more diverse turn for the show, which is reportedly one of the reasons behind the network's decision to pick her as the show's lead.

E! announced the show would continue to air, although it wouldn't be back on their regular programing until next year. This didn't really bode well with all the Fashion Police members, as Kelly Osbourne reportedly "feels that it is pointless to continue on with the show. Kelly says that anyone that you try replace Joan Rivers with will fail miserably."

NeNe Leakes' Joan Rivers replacement would come if the star left the Bravo! show that made her a star - which she reportedly has been about to in the past few months, to pursue new opportunities like the one that's just been presented to her.

While waiting for the news, anyone can check out the NeNe Leakes Collection for the Home Shopping Network (HSN). In any case, either she or Kathy Griffin would definitely bring a new perspective to the famous fashion television show, even if Joan Rivers is quite irreplaceable.
