Fitness Fads: Rundown of the Funniest and Most Unique Routines in 2015 [Watch]

People have been too conscious about their health and fitness the last 11 months. There were a lot of fad diets that are expensive but claimed to have good benefits to everyone's health.

Some opted to go with the traditional diet plus exercise routine since this is the only one that is proven to have worked over the past few years. Which diets and exercise really worked for a lot of people this year? 2015 is coming to an end, and like any other thing, let's try to make a run down of the most unique health and fitness routines that were introduced this year.

An article in Stuff made a list of the funniest and most unique fitness fads this year. Let's take a look at the interesting list below and maybe some of us might have actually tried them.

First up we have Prancercise. This exercise routine was actually inspired by one Youtube star named Joanne Rohrback's Prancercise. In her Youtube channel, she was able to get 10 million views. Prancercise is described as a springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse's gait and ideally induced by elation. For more information, you may watch the video below.

Next we have the so called Cats on Mats. This is the kind of yoga routine involving kittens in the same room. A lot of people have tried it and enjoyed the routine. The cats are seen wandering around the room while the participants are trying to do the poses. These kittens even climb on you while you're doing the poses. Many people think it's cute but as for the fitness part, nobody is really sure about it.

Then, we have zombie runs. People who join this routine dress up like zombies and run around trying to scare people away. They are doing this during daytime and not at night.

Lastly, we have Retrosweat. This routine is fun and just an ordinary aerobics routine. The only difference is that the participants dress up as if they were in the 80's and does the aerobics routine like Jane Fonda to the tune of Michael Jackson and Prince.
