Sterling Vineyards Exclusive Wine Servers for Oscars 2016 Governors Ball

Sterling Vineyards, the prominent Napa Valley winery, has created a sort of records by being the exclusive wine supplier at the Oscars Governors Ball for the tenth consecutive year. The landmark winemaker provided premium wines to pair with legendary Australian-American Chef Wolfgang Puck's majestic menu for 1,500 VIPs at the 88th Academy Awards after-party on Sunday night.

Aside from four premium wines, winemakers at Sterling Vineyards created two commissioned wines exclusively for Hollywood's biggest evening. The custom made wines included Sterling Vineyards Limited Edition Red Carpet Reserve and Sterling Vineyards Limited Edition Gold Standard Reserve. In addition, the four special pours from the Diageo-owned Sterling Vineyard that poured during the Governors Ball this year were Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Reserve Chardonnay, The Food People reported.

All the wines were hand-selected to rightly pair with the amazing menu created by Puck, who once again created over 50 selections of hors d'oeuvres, small plate entrees as well as desserts for the Academy's 1,500 guests, many of whom needed to eat well after an exhausting three-hour event at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

Director of Winemaking for Sterling Vineyards, Harry Hansen said that they are thrilled that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has selected Sterling Vineyards for exclusively supplying the finest quality wines for the most glamorous party of the world. Together with Puck's innovative menu, their wines not only helped to offer an incredible ending to a spectacular evening, but also ensured that the moments were genuinely Sterling, PR News Wire quoted Hansen as saying.

The guests at this year's Governors Ball also sipped a variety of cocktails, including Coco Light Martini, Bailey's Glamour Shot and Johnnie Walker Blood and Sand.
