Street foods are cheap, but they are authentic, and it is a part of a country's food culture. It connects tourists to the locals, and it is also a good conversation starter. South Korea: Kimbap

While most people eating rice or sushi-type foods are as good as a real meal, in South Korea, kimbap is only a street food that you can grab while on the go. Kimbap is a popular Korean street food that looks like Japanese sushi, but instead of raw fish, South Koreans use vegetables, eggs, crab meat, and some fermented veggies. It is also wrapped with seaweed and topped with sesame seeds on top. 

Taiwan: Bubble Tea

The bubble tea, or to most people they call it "boba tea," is not only an iconic street food from Taiwan but also the best milk drink loved by many across the world! Bubble tea has become so popular that many countries have their boba tea shops and have created their version. However, nothing will beat a classic and authentic Taiwanese bubble tea. A bubble tea consists of creamy tea and black tapioca pearls.

Spain: Churros

Churros is another popular street food that has captivated the whole world. This sweet treat came from Spain, and it is the best snack on-the-go for backpackers. Churros are freshly fried donut sticks that are topped with melted chocolate and a drizzle of powdered sugar. This is best paired with coffee or tea.  

Philippines: Halo-Halo

This sweet, cold treat from the Philippines is a must-have in your bucket list! This Filipino dessert features a very colorful vibe. Halo-halo means "mix-mix" in English. It is called because the dessert comes with variations of ingredients including shaved ice, milk, ice cream, dulce de leche, fresh fruits, rice Krispies, and sweetened beans.

Bao buns are commonly known as baozi in China. Chinese street food is also one of the best in the world because it is soft and savory. The buns are filled with a mixture of vegetables, spices, and ground meat. The buns are steamed, and it is a perfect snack to share with the whole family. 

Israel: Falafel 

Many people do not appreciate Israeli foods, but the Falafel became very popular because of its fantastic taste. A falafel contains a filling of ground chickpea spiced in cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion, coriander, and a handful of fresh parsley. 

Canada: Poutine

Do you love potatoes? If so, you will love this street food from Canada! Poutine is a very indulgent treat that initially came from Quebec. It is a bowl of fries that are topped with curds of cheese and gravy. The name "poutine" is slang for "mess," thus, the poutine looks like a hot mess of delicious fries.
