When in a hurry, tossing your greens and whipping them with your favorite salad dressing is very ideal. Little did you know that it has dangerous side effects?

Nowadays, a wide choice of different ready-made salad dressings is available in grocery stores, making it hard for people to choose which brand would suit their taste best.

The New York Post recently reported that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) proposed to revoke the definition and standard of French dressing. That means that the ingredients will not be regulated anymore if this will be approved.

Dangerous Side Effects

When the ingredients in the salad dressings will not be monitored and regulated, Eat This Not That reported that the conditions containing at least 35 percent of vegetable oil and an acid, with acceptable ingredients such as spices, tomato paste, and salt, can be altered.

Eat This Not That added that different brands will now have the freedom to include artificial fillers and other additives that can affect or impair people's health in the long run.

Harvard Medical School noted that many people use more than the standard measure of dressings, which makes sugar, cholesterol, saturated fats, and sodium add up in the body. It added that too much saturated fats could trigger the cholesterol to block the arteries, which is fatal.

Because of these issues, you might need to remove these salad dressings from your fridge or cut your intake to preserve your health, as mentioned by Eat This Not That.

Ranch Dressing

According to Healthline, the soybean in many Ranch dressing brands is rich in omega-6 fatty acids and in large amounts that can cause and trigger the development of inflammation and the risk of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, heart disease, and Alzheimer's disease.

Because of this, Eat This Not That pointed out that Ranch dressing is one of the worst salad dressing your body will consume.

Caesar Dressing

While this might be one of your favorite dressing, this salad dressing carries a health risk. Greatist shared that it is made with egg yolks that are rich in calories and cholesterol.

It noted that a large egg yolk consists of 200 calories, whereas the ideal calorie intake per day is 300, making it a bit bad to eat Caesar dressing too much.

Blue Cheese Dressing

Eat This Not That reported that this dressing is usually made from fat. That is why it is unhealthy to be consumed in excess.

When taking blue cheese alone into account, Healthline also reminded that it should be discarded if there are any changes in its smell or appearance because consuming it spoiled can cause food poisoning.

French Dressing

Nutritionists told The Huffington Post that French dressing ranks seven out of eight when "healthier" comes into account.

Eat This Not That noted that French dressing has a lot of unwanted poor nutrition that can trigger or increase the risk of hypertension, gout, and other diseases.

Thus, if you have these salad dressings in your fridge, consider cutting them off on your diet, or try to eat the ideal amount so that you will not experience any dangerous side effects.
