Hope Solo Court Date Set In Domestic Violence Charges

Hope Solo's court date is set on January for domestic violence charges.

Hope Solo's court date, next court hearing on Jan. 6 has been set by Kirkland Municipal Court Judge Michael Lambo, The Seattle Time reports.

The trial date for U.S. National Women's team goalkeeper on misdemeanor domestic violence charges will begin on Jan. 20.

During a brief hearing that Solo attended on Tuesday, Hope Solo's court date was set. Solo will face two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault stemming from a squabble with her sister and 17 year old nephew at a family gathering in June 21. Solo pleaded not guilty.

Lambo scheduled Hope Solo's court date with the next court hearing on Jan. 6. The trial will begin two weeks after.

Court documents say that Solo's nephew told police Solo was drinking and in a bad mood because her husband, Jerramy Stevens, refused to take her to the airport to catch a flight.

According to court documents, Solo told her nephew that he is "too fat and overweight and crazy to ever be an athlete." Solo's teen nephew called Solo a name and asked her to get out of the house as he went to another part of the house, court documents explain but Solo followed him and called him crazy.

Arguments and tension intensified when the nephew called Solo and her father crazy that caused Solo to punch him in the face. The mother tried to stop the brawl but Solo also attacked her, court documents say. Solo's lawyer, Todd Maybrown told that at the time of arrest, Solo was the victim.

Hope Solo's court date was scheduled in January after Solo's lawyer, successfully argued to have the alleged victims brought to court in the presence of a stenographer. The alleged victims, Solo's nephew and half-sister initially refused to be interviewed by Maybrown with a stenographer around.
