Previously on 'The Flash,' fans saw Felicity Smoak paying a visit at Central City to reunite with Barry Allen. But things took a different turn when she and Barry were invited to join Iris and Detective Eddie on a double date. The interaction between Barry and Felicity was indeed very necessary since The Flash was having a hard time believing in himself and his capabilities. Amid the reunion however is the introduction of Wentworth Miller's Leonard Snart, who was the prime suspect in a robbery in the said episode. While he was initially targeting the Kahndaq Dynasty Diamond, he ended up with Cisco's "cold gun" or the device that has the power to kill The Flash. Fortunately, when The Flash was pitted with Leonard, Barry's friends came to the rescue, only to threaten the antagonist with STAR Labs' vacuum cleaner. In tonight's show, two new characters will be introduced: Clancy Brown's General Wade Eiling and Kelly Frye's Plastique. While Brown is known for his movies "Highlander," "The Shawshank Redemption," "Cowboys & Aliens" and "Starship Troopers," 26-year-old Frye is a starting actress, who only has "Pretty Little Devils" under her film credits. It isn't clear whether these two guest stars will be appearing in tonight's episode only, but Brown, who is no stranger to voicing DC villains like Lex Luthor, is very interested to gush about his appearance on the new hit series. "He came out of the post-Vietnam suspicion of the military, so he was never really a good guy," he recently told The Hollywood Reporter. "He was a representative of the man, of the status quo, and that was under major assault at that point in time. [The military] wasn't respected the way it is now, which makes him an interesting character to play." Brown also said that he is not yet aware of his character's real motives, but he has clues on where the General may be headed. "It was simply that sort of power-mad, bad-guy, fascist, Nazi military crap that was going on back in the day. Now it's a little different," he says, citing recent threats such as ISIS and Ebola," he said. As per the original storyline from the comics, General Eiling is said to have a deep history with STAR Labs head Harrison Wells. "They know of each other and they probably worked together a lot back in the day. If you're a dedicated scientist [like Wells], you've got to make that deal with the devil to do theoretical physics, I guess. Makes you wonder," Brown gushed. The official synopsis of 'The Flash' season 1 episode 5 reads: "After a bomb goes off downtown, the army, led by General Eiling, rolls in and takes over the case, much to Joe's surprise. Suspicious, Joe tells Barry that he and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs should look into the army's involvement. Wells informs the team that Eiling was experimenting on his men to turn them into super soldiers. Cisco confirms one of Eiling's soldiers, Bette Sans Souci, was at the bomb site. The Flash tracks her down and realizes that she's not setting off the bombs, she is a meta-human who can blow things up just by touching them."

"Meanwhile, when Joe learns Iris is writing about 'the streak,' he tells Barry to make her stop. Barry realizes Iris won't listen to him so he decides to have The Flash pay her a visit."

"Plastique" is to air this Tuesday night at 8/7c on The CW. Watch it on its primetime airing or simply watch 'The Flash' season 1 episode 5 stream using this free online stream link here.
