‘Peanuts’ Is Back In Big Screen

Snoopy is back and in 3D! Our favorite American beagle is back in big screen. 20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios bring back Snoopy with the animated movie titled, "Peanuts".

The movie opens to a usual scene where Snoopy is sleeping on his doghouse while the classic "Linus and Lucy" theme of Vince Guaraldi is playing in the background. While Snoopy is sleeping, Woodstock and his bird friends are sneaky working on the Christmas décor around Snoopy's doghouse. Then Snoopy wakes up as a World War I pilot flying in Paris zooming to the Eiffel Tower and eventually lose his plane then back to reality which is in his doghouse with Woodstock. The whole trailer concluded with Charlie Brown in the cinema with the whole gang but of course with his little clumsiness.

The movie "Peanuts" is based on the original comic strip of Charles M. Schulz and the film right had been acquired by Fox in 2012. Steve Martino who directed "Horton Hears a Who!" and "Ice Age: Continental Drift" will direct this 3D animated film. The movie script will be written by Craig and Bryan Schulz, Schulz's son and grandson, with Cornelius Uliano and will be producing along with Paul Feig.

The comic strip "Peanuts" has been known in 75 countries and garnered many fans. This comic strip inspired many television specials such as "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas".  The comic strip, "Peanuts" also won and were nominated for Emmy Awards.

In 1983, Knott's Berry Farm created a "Peanuts" theme park with a name Camp Snoopy and in 1992 an indoor amusement park in Mall of America with a name Knott's Camp Snoopy.

"Peanuts" comic strip was launched by Schulz in 1950 and made Snoopy and Charlie Brown a household name. Many dog owners even named their pet dog "Snoopy" because of the popularity of the character. Schulz died in 2000 but his memories live on with his comic strip "Peanuts".

"Peanuts" will hit the theater on Nov. 6, 2015.
