Missing Philadelphia Student Keys Found: ‘My Son Is Somewhere In That River, I Need To Find Him’

Missing Philadelphia Student Keys - Shane Montgomery's keys, the student from Philadelphia who disappeared on Thanksgiving Day, were in the banks of the Schuylkill River.

The 21-year-old student from West Chester University, was last seen on surveillance footage leaving a bar in Manayunk, Pa. and walking into a parking lot along the river's bank, according to Fox News.

Montgomery's uncle confirmed the keys were from Shane after he tried them on in the student's front door. They were in the water, south of the parking lot.

As for the bar, the manager present didn't seem to find any sort of problem caused by Montgomery or his friends, with whom he was having drinks. The tab of the evening also came to $17 and nothing else was out of the ordinary.

Although the keys represent one step further in the investigation from the missing student, his mother is irreparably distraught.

"My heart is broken. My son is somewhere in that river, and I need to find him and I need to bring him home. I don't think you can print a mother's broken heart," Karen Montgomery told Philly.

There are dozens of parties searching for the missing Philadelphia student, from local search parties to an FBI task force which joined Philadelphia Police in the search for Shane Montgomery.

"I appreciate everybody's prayers and thoughts, and want people to know that we aren't going to stop looking until we find Shane. That's what we need, is prayers and thoughts, and we need to find him and bring him home," further commented the student's mother.

A $65,000 reward is being offered for any information regarding Montgomery and his whereabouts. The number of contact is 215-686-335, which belongs to Philadelphia Police Northwest Detectives.

Kevin Verbrugghe, the missing Philadelphia student's uncle, said the investigators now have enough evidence to prove the young man was near the river before he disappeared, CBS noted.
