5 Dead In Switzerland: Gunman Shoots Four People Before Killing Self Over Family Dispute

5 dead in Switzerland including the gunman over a family dispute, according to  police reports on Sunday.  The shocking murder-suicide incident happened 11 p.m. Saturday, in the town of Würenlingen, in Northern Switzerland, where the killer and the victims remained to be anonymous.

The 5 dead in Switzerland murder-suicide happening were all Swiss. According to Euro News report, the killer was a 36-year-old male, separated from his wife and his three children. He shot his parents-in-law, brother-in-law and a neighbor who were all killed on-the-spot.

"We have ruled out a terrorist angle," Michael Leutpold, the head of the local police told a news conference after concluding that the incident was a family conflict matter. 

NDTV stated that the gunman was a policeman, who used his gun without a license. The said rifle was also not part of the firearms that he was using as a policeman.

The 5 dead in Switzerland incident were found lifeless when the officers arrived. A neighbor reported series of four gunshots that were followed by two more shots.  The gunman first killed the family and a neighbor before shooting himself.

The people killed in the incident were a 58-year-old man, a 57-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man inside a house.  Police report indicated that as soon as the killer walked out from the house, he also shoot another neighbor before he clicked the trigger to himself.

Aargau cantonal police force investigating on the 5 dead in Switzerland case said that they are still conducting further examinations on the motive of the killer. But it is probable that it was caused by a family dispute after the relation of the killer to the victims was analyzed.

The 5 dead in Switzerland was the latest after similar shootings also happened in January and November.

Although Switzerland was reported to be the happiest country in the world by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, it can't be denied that crimes are soaring in the country. Studies have shown that there are about 4.5 million weapons in circulation in Switzerland.

The gunman among the 5 dead in Switzerland was known for his violent behavior. It was also unclear where the ex-wife and the children of the gunman were during the shooting incident.
