Shake Shack Reveals Beer and Bacon ‘Roadside Shack’ Burger [PHOTO]

It wasn't even a month ago when Shake Shack introduced the newest addition to their menu, the Chicken Shack. But it seems as though as the brand expands to other locations, Shake Shack is also expanding its menu.

Paying homage to the burgers of the past, Shake Shack announced the arrival of the new Shack burger just this week. According to Esquire, the "new throwback burger on their menu [honors] old-timey roadside hamburger stands."

Shake Shack eloquently explains the inspiration for the burger. "Inspired by the many traditional U.S. roadside burger stands of yore that dot our highways."

Meet the "Roadside Shack, "a 100% Angus beef cheeseburger topped with caramelized onions simmered in beer and bacon," as per its press release.

Shake Shack also announced the news on their Instagram account. "Hit the road, Shack: we're amped to announce our newest limited edition burger," the caption read.

Shake Shack Culinary Director Mark Rosati explains the goodness of the new burger: "The beer and bacon caramelized onions bring out even more depth of flavor and juiciness to our delicious flat-top griddled burgers."

Even Danny Meyer approves of the "Roadside Shack," not to mention Rachel Ray. "Hamburger America" filmmaker George Motz told First We Feast, "Rachel Ray walked into the judges corral at Burger Bash and said, 'Have you tried the freaking Shake Shack burger, oh my God.'"

The Roadside Shack sells for $6.19 for a single, and $8.99 for a double. Available for an unspecified limited time, Shake Shack lovers can find the newest concoction in any US Shake Shack location, excluding stadiums.
