New Yorkers Can Get A Taste Of Shake Shack’s Newest Creation, ChickenShack, Starting Today!

Shake Shack, the famous burger chain that originated in New York City by Danny Meyer and company, announced their newest item on the menu just this morning.

Called the ChickenShack, the sandwich boasts of "a crispy all-natural and antibiotic-free chicken breast with lettuce, pickles and buttermilk herb mayo," as per the press release.

Because the item is still on "a trial run," the sandwich is only available in selected outlets in Brooklyn. Specifically on 409 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn, 1 Old Fulton Street in DUMBO, and 170 Flatbush Avenue found right across the Barclays Center.

Shake Shack ended their press release by marketing the other items on their menu as well. It said, "When it comes to summer, nothing goes better with a picnic-perfect crispy chicken sandwich than an ice cold Shack-made peach lemonade or a cold and creamy Brooklyn Pie oh My concrete."

It seems as though the new move from Shake Shack is trying to battle both KFC and Chick-fil-A, the leading fast-food chain in chicken.

Perhaps there is an ongoing chicken trend which Shake Shack would want to join the bandwagon on. In fact, KFC has just attempted to revamp their image with a rebranding campaign.

KFC has also released a new item on their menu in certain countries like the Philippines, which is called the "Chizza." The Chizza is a hybrid of chicken and pizza, where a massive fried chicken is substituted for the pizza crust.

On the other hand, Chick-fil-A continues to expand its market by opening more stores in the Pacific Northwest and Northeastern U.S.

Not only that, another New York chain that goes by the name of Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken has just recently expanded in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Taco Bell's parent company, Yum Brands, has also been attempting to penetrate the chicken market with its new chicken-sandwich chain called Super Chix.

The ChickenShack is available for a limited time only, starting today, and sells for $6.29.
