Biggest Diet Mistakes According to Experts

A bunch of top trainers and nutritionists were asked for the most common mistakes they see in their clients making when they first embark on a weight loss goal. Here are great tips how to get a person back on track when a they set out to shed pounds, but aren't seeing the results they hoped for.

The common mistake people usually make is that they did not count the calories they consumed. DailyBurn Fitness/Nutrition coach Chris Mosier said, that when he asked his clients for a daily meal log, Chris Mosier often geta back a list of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But Mosier knows that the subjects are snacking, but they didn't include the snack to their daily caloric intake total. Not to mention the beverages, like soda or booze, and its toll on the waistline.

Most mistakes are also made when  people go crazy on their cheat day, as Joey Thurman, a celebrity trainer and creator of The Lifestyle Renovation, stated, that the person's cheat day becomes a massive food-eating contest. Thurman also said that when a person eat too much, it can set a person back thousands of calories and make that person feel sick and bloated for days to come.

Joey Thurman said, "Many people start out thinking they need to work out seven days a week, which is not always reasonable." Joey Thurman also said, "Instead of a cheat day, have a cheat meal for each week," "You still can have that donut, pizza, or brownie you've been craving, and get right back on the road to clean, nutritious eating - instead of derailing all your progress and causing yourself to feel sick."

Rob Sulaver, a trainer and sports nutritionist and founder of Bandana Training, said that it is also a mistake when a person is not getting enough sleep. And it is better to get enough sleep before even deciding to have a diet and exercise plan.

Rob Sulaver stated, "One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is not giving enough emphasis to the unsung heroes of weight loss, like sleep and stress," Rob Sulaver also said "If you want to create the ideal fat loss conditions for your body, you have to manage your stress levels and make sure the quantity and quality of your sleep is on point."
