Perrie Edwards Cries Onstage During Little Mix Live Performance of 'The End' [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

She's been holding it together over the past couple of weeks in the wake of her shocking split from fiance Zayn Malik, but Perrie Edwards showed a heartbreaking sign of sadness as she broke down in tears during a performance in New York on Wednesday.

It was only a matter of time before Perrie's split from Zayn and his nasty disses got to her. Although it was a happy day for Little Mix as they celebrated their four year anniversary of being a group, the 22-year-old singer couldn’t help but break down and cry in the middle of their live performance.

After singing their new track "The End", the pretty blonde, who had earlier put on a happier display during the girls' set on The Today Show, started crying up on the stage.

Perrie put on a brave face ever since she and Zayn called off their engagement on August 4, but she could only stay strong for so long. The British singer couldn’t keep it together when she sang her solo from Little Mix’s song.

And, heartbreakingly, it was the song lyric, 'no one can love you, the way I used to do,' that choked her up.

Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson all quickly huddled around Perrie and gave her a group hug as she is heard sobbing through the microphone.

Even though Jesy told the concerned crowd that "it's been a long day," it is safe to say that Perrie is still dealing with her heartbreak and Zayn’s disses towards her and Little Mix.

Zayn unfollowed Little Mix on Twitter and proceeded to retweet a tweet in favor of Fifth Harmony over his ex-fiance’s band. However, despite all the drama, Perrie managed to keep a smile on her face as she travelled around the U.S. to promote Little Mix’s latest single, “Black Magic.”

Many of their fans, who posted video footage of the incident on Instagram, also offered words of support for Zayn's ex, shouting: "We love you Perrie!"

Although the rest of the One Direction members kept quiet on Zayn’s very public split from Perrie, Harry Styles reached out to make sure she was doing okay. “It’s something Harry really understands from having his heart broken by his first girlfriend when he was 14,” a source told The Daily Star.

“His heart immediately went out to Perrie and he called her up straight away. He’s very spontaneous that way. It meant a lot to her.” Harry is so considerate of everyone’s feelings.
