'Jamba Juice' To Offer Almond Milk Smoothies for Dairy Free Customers

Jamba Juice, a leading brand in active and healthy lifestyle has come up yet again with another seasonal beverage that lets lactose intolerant indulge in smoothie heaven.  Starting today, Jamba Juice will offer Almond Smoothies, a new line of smoothies made with almond milk that dairy-free folks can enjoy.

These almond smoothies are said to have a higher viscosity, rich in nutrients and more importantly has no artificial flavours as reported in Market Watch.  The vegan, non-dairy alternative will come in three cream flavours.  Each flavour contains at least one serving of fruit for your daily dose of calcium need.  You may choose from the following flavours:

  • Peanut Butter & BerriesA non-dairy smoothie that captures everyone's favorite combo - peanut butter and jelly - blending almond milk, peanut butter, blueberries, strawberries, and dates for a deliciously nostalgic PB&J option.
  • PumpkinA non-dairy smoothie bursting with fall's favorite flavor, pumpkin, mixed with almond milk, bananas, and a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Matcha Green Tea: A non-dairy smoothie that blends the goodness of Matcha green tea with almond milk, bananas, kale, and dates for an antioxidant-rich pick-me-up of vitamins A & C.

Jamba Juice is pretty excited with their new line of smoothie.  "We're excited to launch our innovative line of Almond Milk Smoothies that not only provide a healthier seasonal drink alternative, but can also be enjoyed by our customers who are vegan and dairy-free," said Julie S. Washington, chief marketing and innovation officer of Jamba Juice. "Jamba Juice's Almond Milk Smoothies offer a delicious and nutritious way for consumers to maintain healthy habits all year long, while still delighting in the indulgent flavors of the season."

Jamba Juice acknowledged the trend in almond milk especially for the rising number of health-conscious market.  "The demand for almond milk is soaring, as it's not only delicious tasting, but also plant-based, completely vegan, and cholesterol and lactose-free," said Liz Ward, RD and Jamba Juice Healthy Living Council member. "Almond milk is also fortified with calcium, vitamin D, vitamin A, and vitamin E - a potent antioxidant that helps protect cells against everyday damage. As such, Jamba Juice's Almond Milk Smoothies are a great alternative to the high-calorie seasonal treats that often tempt us during this time of year."

For a limited time, almond smoothies will be available from September 24-29, 2015.  You may visit their Jamba Juice website for more information.
