Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri on Stage at the Global Citizen Festival

Katie Holmes waved to the crowd alongside her daughter Suri while on stage at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival held in Central Park on Saturday afternoon in New York City.

Katie Holmes beat the stage to speak at the star-studded concert event. But the visitors in attendance were astonished to see her little star in the making.

The 36-year-old actress brought her daughter Suri onto the stage at the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday. Katie even encouraged her gorgeous nine-year-old to give a friendly wave at the multitude at the event. The former Dawson's Creek actress shares Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

She kept her make-up to a least amount and carried a fashionable beige purse.  Katie was not the only A-lister at the event as Diane Kruger was also in attendance as she showed off her long legs in tiny denim shorts paired with fishnet tights, giving herself a boost with high-heeled black ankle boots. The 39-year-old Inglorious Basterds star added a preppy twist with an oversized black blazer over a striped shirt.  She completed the look with a monochrome bandana and a shiny quilted black purse.

Diane seemed plenty excited for the occasion, Instagramming an image of herself with a thumb up, writing: 'Global Citizen Concert here I come #GlobalFund #GlobalCitizen'

The blonde beauty also shared a black and white snap of her holding a sign reading: 'We are not a generation of bystanders. We are global citizens.'

And she post a video of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin performing at the festival, with a heart emoji.

The free show featured performances by Coldplay, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Pearl Jam and Beyonce.

There was also quite a roster of celebrity speakers, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Bono, Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness, Stephen Colbert, Salma Hayek and Kerry Washington.

The Global Citizen Festival aims to combat poverty, inequality, and climate change throughout the world.
