McDonalds Reveals New Bacon Clubhouse Sandwiches in Michigan

McDonald's is reportedly unveiling "a new, premium sandwich experience," which combines customers two favorite items - burgers and bacon.

According to Foodbeast, McDonald's is adding the Bacon Clubhouse Burger and the Bacon Clubhouse Chicken to its menu. The sandwiches will be sublimed with the secret sauce, which the fast food chain is justly famous for.

The Bacon Clubhouse features "a new soft artisan roll, caramelized grilled onions, applewood-smoked bacon, white cheddar, leaf lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and a special sauce." The Bacon Clubhouse is available as a burger or chicken sandwich.

"Loaded with layers of hearty toppings, a new artisan roll, a choice of a 100 percent pure beef burger or grilled or crispy chicken and Big Mac special sauce, the new Bacon Clubhouse is the first sandwich offered nationally to include McDonald's famous special sauce since the Big Mac," according to a press release.

So far the new sandwich has reportedly been spotted in the southwest Michigan area. There is no further word on a nationwide rollout date. Boston.com reported that a similar version of this burger, the Clubhouse Quarter Pounder, was seen in Miami last Fall.

"Our customers love the classic Big Mac sauce, and we are excited to bring that special flavor to another premium sandwich," Nicole Dinoia, regional communications manager for the McDonald's Boston region, said in a statement, according to Boston.com. "With a variety of flavors and ingredients and a new bun, the Clubhouse is sure to be a customer favorite."

The Bacon Clubhouse is priced at $4.69 and comes in at 720 calories.
