Cat saves boy from vicious dog attack (VIDEO)

This is something you have to see it to believe! A family cat has saved a young boy from a vicious dog attack after the canine pulled the child off his bike and started tearing at his legs.

A security video posted on YouTube shows a family cat charging, tackling and then chasing off a dog as it attacks its owner's 4-year-old son.

A few seconds later, the dog suddenly comes around the SUV and attacks the boy's leg, pulling him from the bike. Within seconds, Tara, the family cat, sprints into view and rams into the dog before chasing it away from the boy. A woman then came to his aid.

The boy's father Roger Triantafilo, who posted the video online, wrote that his son had recovered from the attack.

The boy received stitches for a deep bite wound on his leg, his mother told KERO-TV Channel 23 in Bakersfield.

"Thankfully, it wasn't worse," he wrote in the video, which shows graphic images of the boy's wounds.

"My son is fine."

According to Local police said the attacking dog, identified as an eight-month-old labrador-chow mix, had been surrendered by its owner's family after the Tuesday afternoon attack.

Police spokesman Sergeant Joseph Grubbs said the dog's owners, who lived in the same neighborhood as the boy, said the dog did not like children or bicycles.

The dog is now in quarantine and was expected to be put down.
