Because our lives are fast-paced and every minute is passing by quickly, people tend to rely on things that would not take up a lot of time, particularly food. Now that we are a week in to 2016, it is just right to evaluate the things we eat, especially the fast food.

The Business Insider exposes the top 18 unhealthiest fast food items that you might be eating on a regular basis. These foods are tagged 'unhealthiest' based on the number of calories, fat, saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol.

People should not be concerned just because these foods make you fat, but the shockingly high numbers could really take a greater toll on your health.

TOP 18: STARBUCKS EGGNOG LATTE IN VENTI

Will you still feel Christmas-y after learning that this holiday in a cup has 630 calories, 28 grams of fat, 17 grams of saturated fat, a whopping 320mg of sodium and 195mg of Cholesterol? These high numbers are because of the two main ingredients of this drink-egg nog and whole milk. If your Christmas won't be complete without this drink on hand, try asking for low fat or skim milk as a substitute to at least trim down the calories.

TOP 17: KFC FRIED CHICKEN POT PIE

Though some people find this meal comforting for it reminds them of home, for sure you will be flabbergasted to know that one serving of this comfort food contains 790 calories, 45 grams of fat, 37 grams of saturated fat, 1,970mg of sodium and 75mg of cholesterol.

TOP 16: CHICK-FIL-A'S SAUSAGE BREAKFAST PLATTER

Desserts are practically the unhealthiest part of a meal, but having one serving of the Cinnamon Delights, 12 bites, are overly excessive with 930 calories, 53 grams of fat, 13 grams of saturated fat, 480mg of sodium and 40mg cholesterol. Now think about your breakfast lunch, dinner and snacks' nutritional value too.

TOP 12: SUBWAY'S FOOTLONG ITALIAN SUB

Despite the public knowledge that Subway is a healthier fast food among others, some of its sandwiches contain alarming number of calories, fat, saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol too. It has 960, 48g, 18g, a whopping 2,980mg and 100mg respectively.

TOP 11: CHOP'T COBB SALAD SANDWICH

The Cobb salad contains 610 calories already. Imagine eating it with bread which are more or less has 300 calories. Yet, some people think anything salad is healthy.
