Amanda Seyfried, OVERWEIGHT? ‘Mean Girls’ Star Failed To Get Roles Because Of Her Figure!

Insanely enough, it seems Amanda Seyfried's overweight ... or, at least, that's what Hollywood casting directors thought when she was first starting out!

In a recent tweet, the beautiful actress known for roles in films like the musicals "Mamma Mia!" and "Les Miserables," revealed that she had been considered too fat to play some roles, and that it put a stall on her career at some point. Amanda Seyfried overweight, what an insane idea!

In the past, the blonde actress has admitted that she's following a strict diet to maintain her figure, but it seems that at some point Amanda Seyfried's overweight was considered a reality by some fractions of Hollywood.

Back in 2010, the blonde beauty told Esquire magazine that at the time she was following a raw food diet to keep her slim figure. It seems that year was tough for her when it came to dieting, since according to E! News, at that time she also said that she had to go to the gym to keep slim.

"But I have to stay in shape because I'm an actress," Amanda Seyfried's overweight comments at the time said. "It's f--ked up and it's twisted, but I wouldn't get the roles otherwise. If I'd been a bit bigger, I don't think they would have cast me for Mamma Mia!"

The Pennsylvania-born Hollywood blonde was first noticed in Hollywood after her role as Karen in the Tina Fey-written high school comedy "Mean Girls," co-starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.

Even then, just starting out, Amanda Seyfried's "overweight" was a complete lie, but it's not the first time that actresses are forced to change their appearance to fit a Hollywood beauty standard. Just recently, Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger appeared on the red carpet of an event for Elle, looking completely different from her usual self, making the press speculate about her plastic surgeries.
