Fans of the star of films like "The Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Pride & Prejudice" can now rejoice in what the actress herself has now confirmed: Keira Knightley's pregnant with her first child with musician husband James Righton, at age 29.
It's definitely a great week for the actress, following her recent nominations to the Golden Globe and the Screen Actor Guild awards for her work in "The Imitation Game," one of the frontrunners for the award season; and now, with the announcement that Keira Knightley's pregnant, the actress has yet another reason to celebrate!
According to Glamour Magazine, rumors that Keira Knightley is pregnant had been going around for a few months, though up until now the actress had failed to make any sort of statement - a very unsurprising scenario, considering that she's known for keeping her private life to herself, even marrying in a low-key ceremony in France last year.
The first news outlet to break the news that Keira Knightley is pregnant was The New York Post's Page Six, after a good many sources confirmed to the magazine that the newlywed couple was expecting their first child.
Rumors were fueled even further when, at the Moët British Independent Spirit Awards last Sunday, the famously thin actress reached the red carpet wearing a dress much looser than what she usually does; also, she refused to try alcohol throughout the evening!
Before Keira Knightley's pregnant news came out to the public, the actress had discussed the possibility of being a stay-at-home mom when it was time for her to step up as a mother.
"Would I want to be a stay-at-home mother? No. On the other hand, you should be allowed to do that, as should men, without being sneered at," the Oscar-nominated actress said to Vogue in a 2012 interview.
