Minivan Mom Not Guilty, Reason Insanity: Ebony Wilkerson, Drove Her Kids To Daytona Beach To Die, Not Guilty

Minivan mom, not guilty, reason insanity, this has been the findings of a Volusia County court judge on Friday after a pregnant woman drove a minivan together with her three children into the surf off Daytona Beach in March.

The woman from South Carolina will not be indicted for three counts of second degree attempted murder. The rulings had been made after proving that the Minivan mom, not guilty, reason insanity.

The prosecutors turned down the case filed against Ebony Wilkerson, the Minivan mom, not guilty, reason insanity. WNCN reports that there will be hearing next week as proclaimed by Circuit Judge Leah Case to determine if Wilkerson needs hospitalization or could be freed with court supervision.

A common decision has been made after the prosecutors find that Wilkerson was suffering from a psychotic breakdown when she tried to kill her three children ages 10, 9 and 3 by driving her packed minivan down to the Atlantic Ocean in Daytona Beach.

Wilkerson, the Minivan mom, not guilty, reason insanity tried to plunge the car into the deep waters of Daytona by locking the doors, and closing all the windows of the minivan. Luckily, bystanders rescued them from the attempted horrific happening.

Apparently, the 10-year-old child told the people who rescued them that her mother took them to the beach so that they could die.

 Before the incident, the Minivan mom, not guilty, reason insanity reported to police in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina that her husband tried to rape her. She then went to Florida to her sister and was reported to 911 that she was suffering from a psychotic breakdown.

Wilkerson, who was 28 weeks pregnant that time, was detained after she tried to kill her three kids in Daytona Beach. She gave birth to a baby boy while she was in  prison. In May, Wilkerson, 33, the Minivan mom, not guilty, reason insanity was allowed to go out on a bail with the condition that she can't see her children, according to NBC News.

On Friday, the woman who was not indicted for the trying to kill her children waived her rights for a jury trial. She told the judge that she is in the right frame of mind, she's mentally fine and she's not under the influence of drugs so she could face the jury.

Prior to the Friday hearing when the Minivan mom, was found not guilty for reason of insanity, a Thursday hearing was held, where Wilkerson appeared publicly for the first time. The Volusia County court judge lowered the bail for Wilkerson from $1.2 million to $90,000.

The judge also place added restrictions where Wilkerson won't be able to see her children including the newborn.

The Minivan mom, not guilty, reason insanity stated that she is in her good state of mind and "back to my normal self." She also said that she is taking psychiatric prescription.

During Thursday hearing, Wilkerson stood by her testimonies that her husband, Lutful Ronjon, abused her and her kids. She also said that she was raped by Ronjon.

The Minivan mom, not guilty, reason insanity remains in custody while the newborn boy was under the care of Wilkerson's husband, Ronjon. The other children were placed at the Florida foster care.
