Pakistan Taliban Peshawar attack is considered as one of the gruesome and heartless terrorist assaults that happened in Pakistan history. Terror filled the air when Taliban attackers killed 141 people wherein most were children, some teachers and armies at the Army Public School in the northwestern city on Tuesday.

The horrifying death of children and teachers were unveiled after eight hours of sheer battle, the NBC News reports.

The Taliban attack is the worst massacre that happened in Pakistan. Peshwar has been always the target of the militants. Earlier in 2013, at least 85 people had been killed in a twin suicide bombing in a church. In 2007, suicide bomb had also massacred 150 people.

USA Today stated that when the Taliban militants entered the premise of the school, the Talibans didn't take any hostages but open fired immediately. Officials concluded that the purpose of the Pakistan Taliban Peshawar attack was to kill the innocent children.

Hamza Khan, 15, one of the survivors said that they thought that the noise was caused by repairs and construction in the building until the terrorists fired the back door and entered the classroom and opened fire.

One local hospital near the school was crowded with mourning relatives searching for their daughters, sons, nephews or nieces while several victims lay with bullet wounds.

In an attempt to take revenge after the militant attack, the Pakistan's military forces had launched ten airstrikes in the Khyber region located near Peshawar and Afghanistan.
