Amanda Bynes Parents SHOCKED To See ‘What I Like About You’ Star Getting Better, Off Meds!

Following a few months of peace and quiet with the former child star, Amanda Bynes' parents have had a couple of tough months after their daughter was released from their custody in late 2013; later, Bynes was arrested yet another time and was ultimately hospitalized and placed on psychiatric hold.

It's been a tough year for everyone in the Bynes family, and Amanda Bynes' parents in particular seem to have had a rough few months with their disturbed daughter: not too long ago, the actress claimed on Twitter that her father had sexually abused her, then taking it all back by saying it was untrue but that her dad had actually put a "microchip" in her brain, which made her say those things.

Now, according to TMZ, Amanda Bynes' parents are relieved to see their daughter on the right track again this Christmas: she's reportedly off her meds and doing great; a few weeks ago, the "What A Girl Wants" star was reportedly visiting the University of Southern California (USC) to find a little bit about the university's psychology major, which she's thinking of pursuing - something that would make a lot of sense given her tough history with mental illness.

Bustle.com reports that Amanda Bynes' parents are so easy with the great turn their daughter has taken that they've even given her partial access to her different bank accounts once again, as they put their trust in their daughter following many months of stress and trauma.

This is all amazing progress for the "Easy A" actress, as it's become clear during her spiraling mental issues that she's not really getting along very well with her parents, who have been in charge of taking care of Amanda as she gets better - earlier this year, she was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI), made stunning statements about her dad and then ended up getting parental conservatorship once again.

Now, it seems that the star is back on track after a rough manic period, and hopefully Amanda Bynes and parents Lynn and Rick Bynes will have a great and easy 2015.
