Drink of the Week: Fresh Bourbon Mint Tea

Ingredients
1 lemon, cut into 8 wedges
1/2 cup sugar
2 quarts water
4 quarts mint sprigs (6 ounces)
1 cup bourbon
1/2 cup lemon juice
Ice cubes

Directions
1. Bring water, mint, and sugar to a boil in a 5-quart saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved; simmer for 15 minutes; cool completely.
2. Strain through a sieve into a large pitcher, pressing on; remove mint.
3. Fill glass cups with ice cubes. Add 2 tablespoons bourbon and 1 tablespoon lemon juice to each glass; top off with mint tea.
