“Eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper" - this motto could very much be applied to the traditional full Irish Breakfast. A large cooked breakfast of bacon, sausages, black and white puddings, eggs, potato, and tomatoes fried in butter is served with Irish soda bread and a cup of breakfast tea or a glass of orange juice.
Ingredients
8 slices Irish bacon
8 sausages
4 eggs
black and white pudding
1 pound baked beans
mushrooms
4 tomatoes, sliced
1 tbsp butter
Directions
1. Melt butter on a pan over the medium heat. Fry the bacon until crispy; set aside. Fry the sausages.
2. Slice the puddings. Half the tomatoes and chop up the mushrooms; add to the frying pan until browned. Set aside.
3. While you are frying the puddings, mushrooms and tomatoes, heat the baked beans on another pan.
4. Fry the eggs in the same frying pan.
5. Serve with homemade Irish bread loaf, tea and orange juice.
